If you have a Nintendo DS, you should definitely check out The World Ends With You.  Easily one of the best (and most unique especially) RPGs i've ever played.  Comes out on Tuesday in the US, but the European ver has been out a few days now and is basically the same game.

Oh and Persona 3: FES also comes out Tuesday for ps2.  Get it if you still haven't played the original, it includes an upgraded remake of entire original P3 plus the sequel/second part of the game, all for like 30 bucks.  Highly recommended.

V-Day is totally the most lame fake-holiday ever made.  But at least today felt like an ordinary day... went to work, school, then the break until closing.  Yes the break, I think this the third or fourth straight year that i've celebrated V-Day there... it's like become a custom/ritual for me now or something.  Least i'm smart enough to not bother dating break people anymore, easily one of the best decisions I ever made a few years ago.

I have cool stuff (hopefully) planned for over the next few months.  Depends how much school/work get in the way... i've been finding alternative solutions though, such as doing my schoolwork at work.  I'm so resourceful :P

I want to write about something, but i'm finding it difficult to find the right words, or maybe i'm just afraid i'll offend someone.  But i'm frustrated right now about how (from my perspective) an increasing number of 'friends' have seemed to turn to drinking/pot/etc, and i'm concerned, yet feel like I have no right to be.  I try to act like I don't care, but that's just an act because it really is bothering me inside.

I'm going to change the subject.

First day of classes was today... Java class should be interesting since we have to use Linux also.  I'll see how the rest of my classes are tomorrow.  I was feeling pretty sick all weekend, but I think i'm getting better finally.

Most of my free time at home lately goes towards Savage 2 on PC or my Sega Genesis emulator on PSP.  Phantasy Star 2 and Shadowrun, fuck yeah.

Well i'm  back on the internets now... finally installed that new hard drive today from black friday, yay.  Anyways, TGA trip was so epically awesome.  Gamewise, I actually ended up playing a lot of GF+DM V4 there, I was really surprised how good it is!!  Wangan was packed because there was another group sitting on it Sunday from open to close, so I only ended up playing a few games of that.  ID4 is lame, played it for awhile and got bored... btw Sega, pretty graphics don't make up for dumb physics/driving mechanics.

Unless you're an emo kid, since only emo kids play ID4.  And yeah, this weekend was filled with waaaay to many in-jokes and bemani puns.  See you!

I don't really know if I would call 2007 a good year or not.  I guess it was... but it's weird, cause it felt so much like 2006.  It felt like it to the point where I can't remember if I did something this year or last.  There were a few notable things about this year, but not as many as I thought.  And there wasn't really anything so noteworthy that it's worth mentioning here either.

From a LJ perspective, remaking this thing was probably a pointless move, since i've been completely unable to write anything even remotely personal or meaningful on here anymore.  Which is the way it should be, quite honestly.

I feel that I accomplished so little this year.  I'd rather not make any written resolutions for 2008, but I have my goals.  I've had my year of reflection, it is time to push onward.

Okay, i've got Orange Box finally... yeah I know i'm behind the times.  My steam account is 'stryk4r', you'll probably see me playing TF2 occasionally.

To make up for last year, this time I bought Christmas gifts for as many people as I could.  If I saw something that reminded me of you, I probably bought it... i'll try to give them all out before xmas.  If I didn't get you anything, i'm honestly really really sorry because I just can't get something for everyone I know, especially if I rarely ever see you.

But anyway... IIDX 15 DJ TROOPERS comes out in Japan today.  And shockingly, it's looking quite impressive from the info i've been reading.  I'm actually looking forward to this a lot now!

That was the first black friday that I ever spent camping out a Best Buy, but surprisingly I had a really good time. I guess the people I was with and those camping around us made it so fun, but damn did I get a ton of awesome stuff. Still managed to spend under $500 total, and now i'm done with most of my holiday shopping too!

Oh and I finally got Orange Box too among other things, was only $25 new :D

Scholarship for MCC get! Not having to worry about paying tuition anymore, now that's a relief. Choosing to be a full-time CS major was apparently a good choice after all.

Also, I almost got killed by a change machine at my job today... oh the dangers of the arcade industry. Glad I reacted/moved fast enough, thx ITG.
